That’s right, true believers - starting this Friday, we’re going to be bringing you Marvel Dice Throne gameplay LIVE in the form of our Media Creators Tournament, hosted by Derek & Lizzy from Boardgame Spotlight!
Well I guess we know who got the Super Soldier serum in this timeline!
Derek & Lizzy will be here every Friday, to provide live commentary and behind-the-scenes action while our content creators strive to web, hex, and hammer their way to the top in a nail-biting, heart-pounding quest for ultimate victory!
Q. How were the characters chosen?
A. It was very exciting to the design team, to be free to pick from the vast range of characters from the Marvel Universe! The final roster was chosen to provide a wonderful selection of new, diverse, and compelling gameplay mechanics, that would bring unique and exciting experiences to Dice Throne.

Issue #3 - Going Off The Rails, With Flying Colors!

TL;DR: All Battle Chests will now be upgraded for increased functionality with the new Battle Rails (details below), and for campaign backers only, all Hero trays will be color-coded to their Hero for increased aesthetics and convenience.

What Are Battle Rails?
The new Battle Rails are a custom-formed internal insert for the Battle Chest, that more accurately conforms to the Hero trays for improved convenience and useability. We've had a number of questions about them, so here's what they're going to look like in action:
Battle Rails are going to be standard for us going forward, but as as an additional campaign exclusive, the Hero trays in every Limited Edition Marvel Dice Throne Battle Chest will also be color-coded to their Heroes, forming a beautiful aesthetic, and making character selection more convenient than ever! Check out this gorgeous concept animation below. (imagine epic music playing while you watch this.)
A. For the individual playmat add-ons, yes! For the bundles, no. (We were able to arrange these bundle prices partly by making these easier to mass-produce and pack at the factory level).

Issue #2 Special Edition - Too impatient to wait to share: A look at Loki, Doctor Strange, and a sample of the MJÖLNIR Token!!!!!

TL;DR: Some things are too awesome to wait for tomorrow's update so we are back with a look a Loki & Doctor Strange from MvM as well as a look at Thor's metal hammer token sample from the factory!
WOW! What a day so far. We are having so much fun reading your comments and seeing all our backers from around the world joining the project. THIS IS SO COOL! Check out some cool stats over on the community tab of the project. Here is a screenshot for now, cause you gotta see what comes next!
If you have been following along with us before the campaign launched, you might have noticed some videos talking about each of the heroes from our pals over at MvM! If you missed them, no worries, you can catch them on our handy playlist over on YouTube. Today when we launched, we revealed the final two heroes for the Battlechest - The God of Mischief and the Sorcerer Supreme! Watch both below.

Welcome to Marvel Dice Throne!
This is a literal dream come true for so many of us on the Dice Throne and Roxley teams. In some ways it’s still hard to believe that it’s happening – we’re still halfway expecting mysterious agents to appear out of nowhere to reset the timeline and erase us from existence. But thanks to Marvel, The Op, and to the 6,000+ of you assembling to support us on Day One, we know that it’s real and that it’s going to be great!
We’ve got lots scheduled for this campaign, so be sure to #StayTuned for our daily updates, live gameplay, streams with the creators, component reveals, community challenges and giveaways, and so much more!
And to celebrate, we’re going to kick it all off by highlighting the amazing campaign-exclusive component upgrade: The MJÖLNIR TOKEN!
Thor’s hammer was not meant to be made of cardboard. So as campaign backers, your Limited Edition Battle Chest will come upgraded with something special: this TRULY worthy metal Mjölnir token! Made of quality die-cast zinc and designed to fit nicely into Thor’s hero tray, this status effect will have you bringing the thunder, in true Asgardian style!
“Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor!”
When playing as Thor, you may discard cards to Throw or Retrieve the Mjölnir token at any time during gameplay, causing undefendable damage to your opponent and powering up Thor’s electrical powers. If one of Thor’s abilities tells you to do this, then you don’t have to spend a card!
Will this be compatible with Dice Throne Adventures?
YES! Marvel Dice Throne is compatible with the entire Dice Throne ecosystem. However, miniatures are not part of Marvel Dice Throne. But there will be some fun ‘bonus tokens’ to come. #staytuned

Will the Limited Edition version be available later?
The Limited Edition will only be available for order while the Pledge Manager is open, until December 31. After that, it will no longer be available except in limited quantities at conventions.

Are there any Stretch Goals or Funding Quests?
There are none. We have designed the game with all of the upgrades included from the beginning. There may be some cool things yet to be revealed, however!
