If you missed Round One of our media content creators tournament hosted by Board Game Spotlight... you missed a LOT of fun and excitement! All eight Marvel Dice Throne heroes saw plenty of action, as our contestants battled each other, the clock, and occasional technical difficulties, to leave six challengers still standing!
Round Two will be this Friday, during which members of the Dice Throne and Roxley teams will demonstrate the popular three-player "King of the Hill" version of the game!

We got SO MANY awesome participants in the costume contest! As many of them were last-minute submissions, we've decided to allow an extra day of voting before declaring the winners.

Issue #8 - Revealed: Loki's Illusion Cards Are Going To Be RAD! Happy Halloween!

Loki's Illusion cards will be upgraded to durable Synth™ cardstock in every Limited Edition Battle Chest. Happy Halloween!
Loki's Illusion cards are one of Marvel Dice Throne's best new individual character mechanics - and for some fans, we just KNOW they're going to result in some sleight of hand, as players try to misdirect their opponents into choosing the illusion. These three cards are expected to see more gameplay than any other cards in Loki's deck, so as a campaign exclusive, in every Limited Edition Battle Chest, we're upgrading them to our new Synth™ cardstock!
If you've played our game Radlands, you've seen these in action! Synth™ is a custom manufactured PVC based stock sourced by the Roxley team, which not only feels fantastic in your hand, but is completely water- and spillproof, and allows cards to be bent end to end while returning to their original form without damage.
With these tough new upgrades, Loki's players are sure to be unleashing some Glorious Mischief!

We are absolutely loving some of the early entries to our Costume Contest! We just had to share a couple of the best:
Kimmie Olson: "This Halloween we are going as 5 Loki. I designed and made all the costumes, learning how to work with Worbla and EVA foam, leather, as well as hand sewing SO MANY SEAMS... Left to right: My husband is Classic Loki, my 9 yo is kid Loki holding Gator Loki, myself as Boastful Loki, my 14 yo as Sylvie, and my 17 yo as President Loki."
Ben Erickson: "We are massive Spider-verse fans. Pictured are Penny Parker, Spider-man Noir, Peter Porker, Peter B Parker, Spider-Woman and Miles. Our pup even got in on it as Penny’s robot. While not our costumes this year, we do have a Scarlet Witch that I’ll share closer to 10/31 as well!"

Supporters of our previous Kickstarters already know these well, but for all the new fans joining us who are not familiar with them, here's a close-up of what your dice will look like in the Limited Edition Battle Chest:

There was a mixup with the BackerKit survey that many of you received. The intent was to ask this question to people who selected the “choose a playmat” option, so we could more accurately predict the popularity of each option. Instead, it went out to every backer. Please disregard this if you did not add the “choose a playmat” option. Our apologies for any confusion!
Additionally, we have replaced the Shipping graphics on the main page with correct, up-to-date versions, which allow pledges to be placed from Mexico, Taiwan, and South Africa.
Hungry for more actual gameplay? We've got you covered! We've assembled three of the many online playthroughs from this week, to get everyone hyped for Round One of the tournament tonight!
Join us at 9:30 EST/6:30 PST for the first epic matchups of our tournament of board game media creators, featuring MeepleU vs. Going Analog, hosted by Derek & Lizzy of Board Game Spotlight! The winners will be back next week, for the semi-final round - while the fallen will shake their fists, rage against their rotten luck, and yell out phrases like “Curses! Foiled Again!”
A. Sleeved cards will fit! There are 268 total cards in the Battle Chest. The cards are Bridge size (57mm x 89mm / 2.25”x3.5”).
Q. I’m new to Kickstarter! How does this all work?
A. To place a pledge for the Limited Edition of Marvel Dice Throne, click the “Back This Project” button at the top right of the page and follow the instructions there. At the end of the campaign, Kickstarter will bill you for the value of your pledge. Soon thereafter you will receive a survey that confirms your shipping address, as well as the details of what you wanted to pledge for; this is where your final shipping charge will be calculated and billed. The game is already designed, tested, and illustrated; it will be manufactured, shipped, and we will begin delivering them to backers in June 2022.
